Do you want glowing, hydrated and bright skin all the time ? Our  star cult favorite, Fleuressence Native Botanical Oil, is more than ‘just’ an oil. Multifaceted is an understatement when it comes to this oil. While  there is still a lot of confusion about how to incorporate oils into a daily regimen, you don’t have to give it another thought because we made it easy to utilize this golden elixir in oh so many ways !

Application tips:

  • Can be used as a serum. Apply suggested dropper amount on washed, cleaned skin for brightness, hydration and anti-aging benefits.
  • Can be used as a moisturizer. Apply suggested dropper amount over your serum of choice for maximum hydration.
  • Can be mixed with moisturizer. Add a small drop (approximately half of the dosage = to one pump) to any of the Goldfaden MD moisturizers to boost radiance and hydration.
  • Mix a few drops into foundation before makeup application. This will create a smooth, hydrated and luminescent appearance.**We suggest applying with a kabuki brush
  • Can be applied over makeup as a last step to create a protective barrier and sealant. Take a few drops and rub into hands and then dab on to a finished face of makeup for a radiant and hydrated glow.
  • Can also be used as a hydration mask. Apply a full dropper amount to clean dry skin and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water and apply regular regimen products after.

Dr. G tips:

  • Oily skin types can use Fleuressence Oil
  • Contains over 23 active ingredients
  • Took over two years to perfect this oil

I often get asked how I achieve glowing flawless skin. For the record no one has perfect skin, not even me. A flawless appearance takes diligence, patience and the correct products for success. This holiday season you too can achieve the Goldfaden glow by following a few easy steps.

Exfoliate

Keep it simple. Two to three times a week is all it takes. If you’re a member of the ‘aggressive exfoliator’s’ club and your skin can handle it, then everyday is okay too! We suggest having both a physical and enzymatic exfoliator in your regimen. They serve different purposes and should never used on the same day.

***An enzymatic or chemical exfoliator can come in the form of a peel, pad or sheet mask. All this means is that you are exfoliating with an acid.

***Acids come in two types, AHA and BHA. AHA acids are glycolic, lactic, malic and citric and are beneficial for the surface maintenance. BHA is beta hydroxy/salicylic acid.

***AHA acids exfoliate dead skin cells, dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles, reverses the appearance of sun damage, hydrates and makes skin look and feel firmer/tighter.

***BHA acid targets the surface but also works inside the pores. BHA contains calming properties so it is good for sensitive skin and those who suffer from redness.

Then there are the physical exfoliators – the scrubs. Physical or manual exfoliation result on smooth, clear and even toned skin. For an even canvas to apply makeup to scrub away with our cult favorite Doctor’s Scrub. Not only will you look flawless with makeup but your skin will be clearer, smoother and more even without makeup!

Smooth & Fill

Don’t have time to run to the dermatologist, don’t fret – it causes more wrinkles! Needle-less is our targeted line smoothing serum that perfect for those stubborn lines and wrinkles. Apply this powerhous
e serum, which is full of hyaluronic acid and peptides, to clean troubled areas for an instant result.

De-puff & Brighten

A crucial step is to hydrate and brighten the eye area, especially if wearing makeup. The eyes are the focal point of the face and they need to be hydrated. Thin skin under and above the eyes can age a person, so always apply one pump of Bright Eyes under and above each eye. We do not formulate with silicone, so you wont experience any pilling of slippage when applying makeup over.

Hydrate & Glow

There is a trick to getting the Goldfaden glow. Apply Fleuressence Oil all over the face by pressing a dropper full firmly into the skin. While the skin is still moist with oil apply a mixture of skin primer and foundation.

***Mix a pump of primer and a pump of foundation (my preference is GEE Beauty) on the top of your hand and use a kabuki brush to apply all over the face. The Fleuressence oil will add extra radiance to the skin and result in a dewy plump appearance.

Dust & Radiate

Finish off the look with GEE Beauty Soft Focus Powder. Dust across the hairline and on the top of the cheeks (where sun would naturally hit) and then along the jaw line and onto the neck. For extra radiance at night or anytime, add RMS light luminizer to the top of cheekbones and on the cupids bow (that little indentation above the lip).

Glow baby, glow!

Oils can be non greasy and can realign even oily complexions

Human skin naturally produces oil, but when the oil is stripped or dried out the skin can go into overdrive producing extra oil and thus causing acne or an oily complexion. For oily skin types or acne prone skin, choose a dry or balancing oil.

What to choose if you’re Oily or Acne prone:

  • Argan oil or Jojoba oil, which are similar to our skin’s sebum, trick the skin to not overproduce oil/sebum and thus warding off breakouts.
  • Hemp Seed Oil eliminates blackheads and is anti-inflammatory.
  • Rose hip seed oil helps to heal repair tissue and brighten skin due to high levels vitamin C, Omega-3 + Omega-6 fatty acids and Retinoic acid. Many people with oily complexion also suffer from acne and scarring.

What to Avoid:

  • Avocado oil and Coconut oil
  • Silicone based oils
  • Artificial fragrances or colors

Oils do not clog pores or cause breakouts

If you are using the correct oil for your skin type you should not experience clogged pores or breakouts. Pay attention to ingredients, fragrances, essential oils and the targeted results of the oil. Oils, which are free of silicones, penetrate deeper, deliver more targeted results and do not clog pores. When silicone is applied to the skin it creates a protective barrier. While this may sound like a positive attribute, there are a few major downsides. When silicone is applied to the skin nothing penetrates in and nothing gets released out, thus causing the perfect breeding ground for a clogged pore.

Other ingredients to pay attention to are artificial fragrances and colors, as they can to cause breakouts. Essential oils, even natural and organic ones, play a large roll in breakouts, rashes, redness and overall allergic reactions. While many of the oils are beautifully crafted and formulated, they can be too botanical and fragranced for some skin types. If you think you may have an allergy away spot test before using all over the face

Argan oil and Jojoba, which are similar to our skin’s sebum, trick the skin to not overproduce oil/sebum and thus warding off breakouts.

The Anti-aging benefits

Oils replenishes hydration, improves skin color, improve skin tone, boosts radiance, reduce pore size, reduce inflammation and help to fight the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. All the wonderful ways to use oils

  • Oils should be used on cleansed skin. If the oil is being used as a serum then it is applied to clean skin before the moisturizer.
  • If the oil is being used as a moisturizer then it is layered on top of the serum and or mixed with a cream moisturizer or night cream.
  • Makeup glow. Some oils, like our Native Botanical Fleuressence oil, can be mixed into foundation for an overall hydrated glow

Whether you desire hydration, brightness or the Goldfaden glow, there is an oil for you.
